Welcome!
Visiting a new church can seem intimidating, but there’s no reason to be nervous! Everyone is welcome at Pataskala UMC. If you’re considering joining us for worship, we’d love to have you. Here are some Frequently Asked Questions to guide you:
Worship begins at 9:30 am and concludes at approximately 10:45 am.
We have parking all around our building and there is a gravel lot on the east side of the church at the corner of Benson and Jefferson Streets. There are handicapped-accessible ramps that lead into our sanctuary in our north lot (between the city building and our church), and at the southern corner of the front of the building.
Our worship is traditional in style with a piano, organ and hymns, choir and soloists. Children and adults are present in worship.
Attire is generally business casual. People wear dresses, shirts and ties, or jeans and shirts.
There are hearing assistance devices available from the sound booth area at the back of the sanctuary.
Men’s and Women’s restrooms can be found on all levels. The handicap-accessible restrooms are just outside of the sanctuary. Baby changing stations are located in both restrooms.
Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month. The Communion table is open to all. We believe that Holy Communion is a “means of grace” or a way by which we may receive the grace of God. Children may take communion with the permission of their parents.
We welcome all children to be present and participating in worship with us. Nursery care is not available at this time. There are activity bags located in the back of the sanctuary marked for younger and older children. Please return the bag at the end of worship.
