About Us

Established in 1898, the Pataskala United Methodist Church has a long history of service to the Pataskala community and surrounding area. Although the building itself has undergone some changes, the spirit of service in the name of Jesus Christ is alive and well.

Our Mission - To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We do this through the proclamation of the good news of God's grace made available to all through His Son, Jesus Christ and by exemplifying his command to love God and neighbor.  (Matthew 28:19-20, Matthew 22:37, 39)
Our Basic Belief -  We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the Lord of all and that with God's grace and with Christ-centered motivation we can and are making a difference in our community in service to our Lord.
Our Service - United Methodists insist that faith and good works belong together. What we believe must be confirmed by what we do. Personal Salvation must be expressed in ministry and mission in the world and that faith should inspire service.  We are committed to serve our community and do so through a number of community outreach programs such as our Kids Eat Free Summer Lunch Program and support for numerous local charities and events.  Globally, the United Methodist Church has designated four areas of ministry focus that we too support. They are:

        - Ministering with the Poor
        - Improving Global Health
        - Growing Vital Churches
        - Developing Christian Leaders

In addition, the church is committed to disaster relief and advocacy for social justice efforts.
Our Mission and Service Working Together - Because of what God has done for us, we offer our lives back to God through a life of service.  As disciples, we become active participants in God's activity in the world through mission and service.  Love of God is always linkes to love of neighbor and to the passionate pursuit of seeking justice and renewal in the world.
